Code of Ethics
Each member of the International Healing and Spiritual
Professionals Association is required to sign a copy of the
Healer Code of Ethics and inform their clients they have
done so, such as by displaying it in their office or
emails, on their website, or by giving clients copies along
with their registration paperwork. A copy on blue
parchment paper is included with the first year IHSPA
membership pack.
1. I agree to do the best I can for everyone, equally
and without discrimination of race, sex, cultural, national
or ethnic origins, sexual orientation or political
persuasions.
2. I agree to know and work only within my
limitations, including not diagnosing, treating, or
prescribing unless I am legally licensed to do so. I
will refer clients to other professionals when
necessary.
3. I agree to uphold moral and ethical standards,
including honesty and integrity, and will seek counsel
should I find myself engaging in activities
otherwise.
4. I agree to hold my clients in ultimate confidence,
unless doing so breaks the law or causes imminent harm to
my client or another person. I will require signed
consent from my client before sharing any information and
will keep written and electronic records secure to the best
of my ability.
5. I agree not to abuse or use my clients in any way,
including sexually, emotionally, or financially. This
may also include unnecessarily selling my services or
taking an unreasonable amount of money for products or
services performed.
6. I agree to never falsely advertise myself, my
products, or my services. I will provide accurate
pricing and clear goals, and will also explain treatment
options before the client's first session.
7. I agree to respect my clients and hold them in the
highest regard at all times. I will never be
judgmental, talk down to them or make them feel
inferior.
8. I agree to state my professional availability to
my clients, and will advise clients when and how they may
and may not contact me.
9. I agree to provide a safe, educational and
comfortable healing environment, whether physically or
theoretically, for my clients.
10. I agree to inform my clients of this code of
ethics, either by displaying them publicly or including
them in their client documentation.
