If you are a healing
professional, you know clients have an
unlimited number of healers and therapists to choose from
online. Why should they choose you?
We prove to the public that our IHSPA members are
here
because they care
about their reputation. Because members openly
state their education and credentials, affiliations, and
other vital information, which is verified by the IHSPA,
a level of trust and confidence is guaranteed for the
consumer.
What can the IHSPA do
for me, a professional?
The International
Healing and Spiritual Professionals Association provides
you, the professional, with a membership
opportunity guaranteeing accurate information to
potential clients regarding you and your practice.
Through the IHSPA website, the public can view your
listing in the Professional Member Directory.
We provide you with a code for our clickable seal to place
on your own website, routing browsers to your verification
page.
What kind of
healing practitioners or therapists do you
accept?
We accept any professional that uses a form of
complementary and alternative medicine, coaching, therapy,
and more.
Our focus on alternative
therapies exists because allopathic medicine, and
professionals who use more conventional therapies, already
have many professional organizations to choose from.
We do not downplay conventional modalities; rather,
we wish to provide access for alternative therapists and
healers to a professional membership organization which
cares about quality control.
Examples of complimentary and alternative modalities we
accept include Reiki
healers, EFT practitioners, Energy Psychology
practitioners, ordained ministers, metaphysicians,
spiritual healers and practitioners, acupuncturists,
acupressurists, hypnotherapists, herbalists, homeopaths,
massage therapists, spiritual counselors, coaches, and
wellness therapists. If you aren't sure
whether or not you're qualified to be part of the IHSPA,
please contact us. As long as your identity and
history can be validated, you most likely can.
You mention quality
control. What are membership
requirements?
Professional members are required to adhere to a code of ethics.
They are also required to submit copies of photo
ID and available documentation for all listed educational
experience (including copies of certificates or degrees
earned). Documentation is not displayed but kept
on file in case your identity as a professional is ever
questioned. All education is verified by the IHSPA by
emailing or telephoning the school or instructor before
being listed in the Professional Member Directory.
Professional members are required to submit, every
six months, changes or additions (if any) to their
directory listing and activities as a therapist/healer/etc.
Our professionals are also required to pay their
membership dues on time. All this is our IHSPA
"quality control" required to keep membership active.
My training was not
accredited. Can I still join?
Yes. The IHSPA realizes most spiritual and healing
education is not government accredited. As long as
you honestly state what training you have had, and it is
verified, accreditation is not necessary for membership.
Keep in mind that accredited schools will have the
accreditation listed.
